Milton Keynes and Idox shortlisted for National Technology Award
Idox and Milton Keynes Council are delighted to announce their position as finalists in this year’s National Technology Awards – a programme aimed at celebrating innovation and encouraging technological excellence.
In the running to claim the ‘Best Public Sector project’ title, the successful award entry showcased the partnership between the Council and Idox in delivering and supporting Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology to advance services and increase efficiencies across the Council’s Planning domain – saving time, money and resource in the process.
Hazel Lewis, Head of IT & Print at Milton Keynes Council commented:
“We are delighted to be working in partnership with Idox and LGSS Digital, creating an innovative chatbot for our customers, to have information available at a time that suits them. Taking this to the next level and introducing Artificial Intelligence to the planning service when validating planning applications will improve the customer experience, streamline processes, whilst saving hours in officers’ time. We are excited to be sharing with other local authorities what we have achieved through our funding from MHCLG.”
Winners will be announced at an official awards ceremony on 16 May 2019, at the London Marriott Hotel in Grosvenor Square.
