Idox and HM Land Registry (HMLR) are pleased to announce their partnership to integrate HMLR’s national Digital Register and Idox’s market-leading Local Land Charge solution for the benefit of councils across England.
Total Land Charges (TLC) is the most widely-used solution in the country for managing Local Land Charges, with over 150 local authority customers. As part of a bespoke and integrated package, Idox are extending TLC to provide additional functions that support an initial extraction of Local Land Charges data, ready for the delivery of the single, national digital register.
Using the existing Idox Digital Platform, the solution will also enable the ongoing daily update of Local Land Charge information from each local authority directly into the HMLR portal, automating and standardising data in one accessible place.
Karina Singh, Director of Transformation at HMLR said:
“Our ambition to be the world’s leading land registry for speed, simplicity and an open approach to data took a huge step forward when the Local Land Charges Register went live in July 2018. We are now in the process of consolidating the 326 local authority registers into a single digital register, working initially with up to 26 local authorities in a phased approach. We are excited to enter into this delivery phase and our collaboration with Idox will help us to realise this ambition.”
James Sealey, Product Manager at Idox commented:
“The solution we have in progress provides a scalable offering to all TLC users, automating the transfer of data to minimise the impact on council resources and delivering business continuity and efficiencies for both parties. We’ve been delighted to work alongside HMLR and look forward to providing the technology and expertise required to deliver a truly digital and effective solution for all involved.”
