Idox attending the AEA Annual Conference 8 – 9 February 2021

We are delighted to be taking part in the upcoming Association of Electoral Administrators (AEA) Annual Conference, taking place virtually on the 8-9 February 2021 and are proud to sponsor the Postal Vote Opening Workshop.

2021 is set to see the most complex set of polls ever held across the UK. Issues relating to combined polls, requirements for public safety, anticipated staff shortages, and the potential demand for absent votes all make for a difficult project to manage.

The reformed canvass in 2020 removed some resource burden on EROs and used data to streamline processes for electors. Despite this, delivering the canvass during a pandemic meant that plans were constantly being adjusted, making the effectiveness difficult to judge.

The conference will provide delegates with both an opportunity to reflect on the last year and look to the future. Many topics will be covered including looking at the canvass, helping members to plan for changes ahead of the second reformed canvass, looking at issues for the 2021 polls and assisting attendees in understanding the new requirements placed upon them.

As well as a range of plenary sessions, there will be four workshops providing delegates with an opportunity to explore key areas in more detail.

Our team will be on hand to meet you via the virtual networking function, where we look forward to sharing with you the exciting developments we have made to our EMS, supporting efficient administration through the elections process, from register maintenance to running your election.
