Idox delivers customer-led enhancements to CasparGov and CasparLaw

Idox, a leading provider of specialist software for local government and legal professionals, has delivered significant enhancements to CasparGov and CasparLaw, its purpose-built solutions supporting deputyship, appointeeship, trust and attorney services.

Developed in response to customer feedback, the latest investments strengthen performance, reliability and day-to-day usability, helping Court of Protection teams, Adult Social Care leaders, finance teams and legal professionals maintain effective financial oversight, manage cases efficiently and meet compliance and reporting responsibilities.

CasparGov supports local authority and private provider teams delivering deputyship and appointeeship services, while CasparLaw supports legal practices managing professional deputyship, trusts and clients’ affairs under powers of attorney. Together, the products are used by more than 90 organisations to manage complex caseloads, safeguard client finances and support effective OPG and statutory reporting.

The latest enhancements include upgrades to server operating systems and core software components, a new administration application, automated update services, enhanced monitoring and improved error reporting. Customers have also benefited from a range of improvements across reporting, banking, financial reconciliation and client records, helping teams work more efficiently while maintaining compliance and financial oversight.

Customer feedback has played a central role in both recent enhancements and future development plans. Through focus groups, drop-in sessions and ongoing engagement with the product team, users have been able to preview proposed changes, test new functionality and help shape future priorities.

Around 200 users participated in the most recent engagement sessions across CasparGov and CasparLaw, providing direct feedback that continues to influence product development and investment decisions.

As part of this ongoing programme of customer-led development, Idox is also preparing the next phase of enhancements, including a refreshed user experience designed to improve navigation, personalisation and productivity while retaining the specialist functionality customers rely on.

Sarah Mandley, Product Manager at Idox, said:

“CasparGov and CasparLaw support organisations entrusted with managing other people’s finances and affairs. Our continued investment is focused on providing reliable, secure software that evolves alongside the needs of deputyship, appointeeship, trust and attorney services.”

“These latest platform improvements strengthen the foundations of both products and support the new look planned for later this year. Customers have been involved throughout the redesign, sharing their ideas and helping us understand what matters in their everyday work. That input is shaping this release and will continue to guide how we develop Caspar.”
