Programme Director, Data Strategy

Idox is a leader in the markets it operates in, delivering innovative software solutions to its public sector and blue-chip customer base.

We have created a new full-time and permanent Director-level role to accelerate our efforts with a new generation of data products to further enhance our offering to existing customers and potential new markets, leveraging our market leading technologies, established customer bases, and our skilled & experienced people.

This role will lead and help co-ordinate technical, product and commercial workstreams as part of a discovery phase to establish pathways to bring our solutions to the market opportunity we see. The first phase will establish and then lead a small team to fully develop and define a subsequent industrial-scale investment to fully establish our data solutions and bring them to market. The post holder will be the lead on both the initial discovery phase, and subsequent scaling-up production phases. This discovery phase is expected to consider and develop the following:

  • A common data infrastructure and routines across the Idox Group.
  • New products and offerings based on our data, technologies and expertise. Within this, specifically considering market data solution opportunities for Idox geospatial products, and work to implement PoCs with customers and partners.
  • Establishing user journeys and associated commercialisation routes, including evaluating go-to-market investment options.

These themes will need to be explored both individually and collectively as they will be interdependent. We want to ensure Idox data solutions will meet addressable markets.

All of these activities will include working closely with existing colleagues from across the business, in addition to leading the project team itself. Establishing the project team of 2 to 4 people will be among the first tasks for this Project Lead role.

An ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience in data; including its infrastructure, curation (where applicable), maintenance, enhancement to drive insight, delivery and commercialisation. You will be a champion for the whole range of our solutions to new and existing customers and will be encouraged to create actionable insights, intelligence and thought leadership for the Group.
