Like many, Cheltenham Borough Council is all too familiar with the need to reimagine roles and revolutionise key processes in a bid to work more efficiently and drive savings. Powered by a partnership approach with Idox, the authority undertook a transformation initiative last year, aiming to shift to a new way of working via an end-to-end Digital Platform.
£93k in savings, 100% channel shift of the Council’s taxi and private hire licensing function, more than 150 public-facing hours saved and end-to-end online customer journey times improved by 71%. And, that’s just one service area, with more expected to follow.
Having successfully transformed its licensing offering, Cheltenham is keen to share its story with other local authorities looking to innovate and improve their own digital delivery.
