Community Responsibility

At Idox our goal is to deliver a valuable, measurable contribution to our wider communities across the whole of the UK. Corporate social responsibility is now embedded in our management approach and many new initiatives are being developed within staff groups that have been established right across the UK. With Community Teams across all our offices, we aim to make teams' efforts valuable, measurable and fulfilling for everyone involved.

This what we are doing:

STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths)

As a major developer of software and digital services, we are in a unique position to bring our skills to bear on the UK’s science, technology, engineering and maths agenda (STEM).

  • We are proud to be ambassadors of STEM. As part of recognising the value of STEM, employees of Idox are actively seeking to share their experiences, provide support and training to local communities across the UK.
  • Hiring and developing new talent is clearly important to a technology business like ours. To run in parallel with our sponsorship and participation in STEM programmes, we are making several Analyst apprenticeship places available in key locations in 2020. With offices across the UK and more than 600 staff globally, we can reach out to the wider community and make a positive difference. Idox has put in place a programme that gives every member of staff the chance to reach out and work with a range of third-sector organisations.

We aim to enable every member of our team the chance to provide at least one day of paid community contribution and we actively encourage more. Each of our six UK offices has a CSR Team which helps facilitate new programmes and reports on progress.

  • We are in the process of developing links with two chosen charities in the UK to reduce homelessness and help with back to work programmes. Details will be announced soon.

  • We offer a variety of mentoring services across our organisation and we are looking to extend our programme by partnering with external agencies to mentor and support young people right across the UK. 


We create an environment which treats all staff with dignity and respect. Our workplace is diverse and inclusive. Across our organisation we support home working, flexible working hours and back to work programmes, often with changed working hours to support working mothers and fathers.

Additionally, the health and wellbeing of all our employees is of vital importance. In response, we have trained key staff to support others, particularly in the areas of recognising the increasing importance of mental health and any stressful conditions in the workplace.
