Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council is first in England and Wales to commit to fully electronic planning system

[18 Aug 2004] Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council is the first local authority in England and Wales to sign an agreement with IDOX group for the provision of the IDOX End-to-End e-Planning solution. The new system will enable the council to satisfy 18 of the 21 criteria detailed in the Pendleton Report, meet Best Value Performance Indicators, and will be a significant step towards achieving the Government's 2005 e-Gov targets.
