Barnet extends the use of Plantech ACOLAID with the go live of Environmental Health

Idox group are delighted to announce that the London Borough of Barnet began live use of Plantech ACOLAID for Environmental Health, Licensing, Housing Grants, Trading Standards and Contaminated Land in mid December 2008. Plantech ACOLAID replaces the Northgate M3 systems previously in use in these business areas.
The move brings closer integration with the corporate LPG, which is managed in Plantech ACOLAID, and the corporate Cadcorp GIS. Lack of integration with the corporate LPG had caused issues with duplicate premises records and fractured case histories in the M3 system which will be resolved by the integration offered by Plantech ACOLAID. The embedded Cadcorp tools in Plantech ACOLAID allow users to create cases from the map, view and manipulate map objects related to Plantech ACOLAID cases and move seamlessly from the map to Plantech ACOLAID and back again.
Integration with Barnet's corporate Wisdom Document Management system will follow soon, allowing documents created via Plantech ACOLAID to be stored automatically in Wisdom, and files related to Plantech ACOLAID cases to be stored in Wisdom and linked to Plantech ACOLAID cases.
Barnet have been using Idox group systems for many years, initially with the DataFlex version of Building Control which was later upgraded to Plantech ACOLAID in 2003. Plantech ACOLAID systems for Land Charges was added in 2006 and Development Control went live in early 2008.
