Sandwell Council and Newham Council to rollout Local Offer websites from Open Objects
- Published: 06 December 2017
Sandwell Council and the London Borough of Newham Council have become the two latest local authorities to implement the Family Information Services (FIS) Hub and Local Offer solutions developed by Idox’s Open Objects.
The flexible, digital solutions will provide both councils with accessible and engaging online platforms to share integrated information about health, social care and community services in their local areas. They will also enable citizens to engage independently, giving them greater autonomy to identify support that is most relevant to them.
The Local Offer channels will provide an online guide that brings together the information and services available to children and young people with special educational needs or disabilities in the two council localities.
With over 70 Local Offer customer websites across England, Open Objects has been at the forefront of delivering interactive and informative platforms for parents, carers, children and young people since the introduction of the 2014 SEND reforms. In collaboration with local authorities and their parent and carer networks, the team will continue to evolve the platform to ensure it consistently meets the needs of those accessing health and social care services locally.
